An Indiana truck accident took the life of a local man early Saturday morning, the Palladium-Item reports.

The man was driving northbound on Indiana 227 when his vehicle drove off the side of the road.  The vehicle struck two mailboxes and a tree before partially ejecting the driver from the pick-up truck.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from injuries suffered in the Indiana auto accident.

Police report that alcohol was not a factor in this Indiana truck accident.

Woman plans to sue employer for Gary wrongful termination

According to The Sun-Times News Group, an Indiana woman is seeking reinstatement to her job, back pay, and compensation for her Gary wrongful termination.

The woman plans on suing her former employer, Nalco, in a Gary wrongful termination case, after she was fired for taking time off to undergo infertility treatment. In the Gary wrongful termination case, the woman claims her being fired was an act of sexual discrimination.

The woman’s former employer claims that her case wasn’t an Indiana wrongful termination, and that she was fired as a part of the company’s reorganization plan. However, the woman claims a supervisor told her she was terminated because of her health condition.
