Intake Specialist

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Answer initial inquiries from prospective clients.
  • Conduct preliminary screening of inquiries, including, but not limited to, personal injury, medical malpractice, and workers’ compensation.
  • Determine if there is a legal aspect to a prospective client’s problem and if the client qualifies and meets the predefined criteria for the case type at hand, making sure that the client feels heard and understood.
  • Open files for new clients in the case management system and prepare physical files for preliminary legal action.
  • Assist with the maintenance of calendars, tasks, and workflows in the case management system and CRM software.
  • Develop reports in the case management system and CRM software.
  • Assist with evidence/information gathering and research in order to efficiently develop new cases.
  • Communicate with administrative team to ensure that correspondence, client education, and other literature are delivered to potential new clients that qualify for preliminary legal action.
  • Perform in-person sign-ups on an as-needed basis.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives such as conducting client surveys and tracking referral source data in order to improve retention rates and client acquisition strategies.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Intake Manager.

Requirements and Additional Information: 

  • Four-year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Call center experience is a plus.
  • CRM software experience is a plus.
  • Case management software experience is a plus.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Legal industry experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized work approach.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to compile, review, classify, prioritize, analyze, and present data effectively.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality and professional assistance.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively.
  • Dependability, initiative, and concern for the needs of the client.
  • High degree of computer data entry accuracy.
  • Proficiency with the use of technology, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office suite and computer-based, legal research.

    Salary Range: $31,000 – $41,000 (commensurate with experience)

     

    Paralegal

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Assist attorneys with projects and client-related matters. 
    • Maintain clear lines of communication with clients, counsel, court, and others. 
    • Organize and maintain client files in the case management system.
    • Prepare legal documents, including but not limited to, pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda, ensuring exceptional spelling, grammar, format, and content. 
    • Conduct legal research and factual investigation. 
    • Analyze statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, documents, and other relevant data to advance case preparation and determine causes of action. 
    • Coordinate and summarize depositions. 
    • File documents with the court.
    • Assist attorneys with discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. 
    • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. 
    • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. 
    • Participate in calendar management, docketing, and preparation for depositions, mediations, and trials. 
    • Communicate with administrative team to ensure that correspondence, client education, and other literature are mailed to clients.
    • Facilitate timekeeping, transcription, and scheduling. 
    • Assist with settlement preparation. 
    • Perform other duties as directed by the Managing Attorney to meet the ongoing needs of the firm.

    Requirements and Additional Information: 

    • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, terminology, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures. 
    • Experience with depositions, mediations, and hearings. 
    • Advanced proficiency with the use of technology, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based case management software, and computer-based legal research. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized work approach.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and address multiple projects with a high level of quality and productivity.
    • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
    • Capacity to learn, adapt, and manage a workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
    • Ability to compile, review, classify, prioritize, analyze, and present data effectively.
    • Willingness to work cooperatively.
    • Dependability, initiative, and concern for the needs of the firm.
    • High degree of data entry accuracy.
    • Commitment to providing high-quality legal assistance and building credibility with clients. 

    Education and Qualifications: 

    • Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, and/or an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies. (preferred) 
    • Personal injury experience. (preferred)

    Salary Range: $35,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with experience)

     

    Associate Litigation Attorney

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Draft and organize legal documents, including but not limited to, pleadings, motions, complaints, demands, and discovery, ensuring exceptional spelling, grammar, format, and content.
    • Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
    • Analyze statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, documents, and other relevant data to advance case preparation and determine causes of action.
    • Participate in calendar management, docketing, and preparation for depositions, mediations, and trials.
    • Appear at depositions, attend hearings/mediations, and assist at trials.
    • Maintain clear lines of communication with clients, counsel, court, and others.
    • Organize and maintain client files in the case management system.
    • Oversee document filing with the court.
    • Communicate with administrative team to ensure that correspondence, client education, and other literature are mailed to clients.
    • Handle case negotiations.
    • Conduct settlement preparations.
    • Perform other duties as directed by the Managing Attorney to meet the ongoing needs of the firm.
