Car crashed into building in South Bend auto accident

The driver of a Jeep Wrangler drove into a South Bend church early Monday morning, according to WSBT News.

The driver drove onto the lawn of the New Covenant Baptist Church damaging some bushes and the side of the building, in the South Bend auto accident.  The South Bend car accident occurred near the intersection of Prarie Avenue and South Walnut Street.

Police report that the driver may have had a diabetic reaction while driving, which caused the South Bend car accident.

Bank teller files Indianapolis wrongful death suit

The Indianapolis Star reported that a bank teller filed a suit against Huntington Bank claiming the bank was negligent for the death of her twin children.

The woman, who filed the Indiana wrongful death suit, was a teller at the bank when she was shot in the abdomen by a robber. She was approximately six months pregnant with twins at the time of the shooting, and went into labor two days later.  One twin was stillborn and the other died several hours after birth.

The Indianapolis wrongful death suit claims the bank was negligent in that it provided only basic robbery training, lacked security officers, and failed to install bulletproof glass.

The suit also seeks damages under Indiana’s Child Wrongful Death Act.

Boy killed in Indianapolis auto accident

A 15 year-old boy was killed in a side by side street racing accident in Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Star.

The boy was the passenger in the vehicle that was racing another car at the time of the Indiana auto accident. The driver was headed southbound on Foltz Street when he crossed the center line and hit a pick-up truck.

The driver and passenger had to be cut from the vehicle in this Indianapolis auto accident.

The driver suffered critical injuries and the passenger was declared dead at Methodist Hospital.

Two passengers in the pick-up truck were also injured in this Indianapolis car accident.

Local hospital in Indiana insurance dispute

The Indianapolis Star reports that a hospital and insurance provider are involved in a dispute that may lead to an end in their partnership.

St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers are planning to sever ties with Anthem, Indiana’s largest health care insurer, due to an Indiana insurance dispute over reimbursement rates.

The hospital system’s contract with Anthem does not expire until September, but they released a statement saying they are prepared to sever ties almost a year early.

If this Indiana insurance dispute is not resolved it could affect thousands of people in Indiana who are covered by Anthem.

Woman killed in Gary auto accident

A 24-year-old woman was killed when her vehicle was hit by a fire truck, according to the South Bend Tribune.

State Police say the woman was driving her vehicle in the same intersection as the fire truck, which was en route to an emergency call. The fire truck pushed her car into two other vehicles in the Gary auto accident.

A one-month-old infant was in the woman’s vehicle when the Gary car accident occurred, but was not injured.

Police say failure to yield to an emergency vehicle may have been the cause of the Gary auto accident.

One woman injured in South Bend auto accident

The South Bend Tribune reported that a woman was taken to the hospital this afternoon after her car collided with a school bus.

Police said the woman ran a stop sign, colliding with the back tires of the bus, causing this South Bend car accident.

The woman was taken to Memorial Hospital. The driver of the bus was not injured. No children were on the bus at the time of the South Bend car accident.

The impact of the South Bend auto accident was strong enough to briefly tip the bus off of its left-side tires. The vehicle appeared undamaged after the Indiana auto accident.

One killed in Indianapolis auto accident

A 63-year-old pedestrian was killed when she was struck by a car, according to the Indianapolis Star.

The woman was crossing the 8400 Block of Harcourt Road when the Indianapolis auto accident occurred. According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle on an access road, jumped the curb, and hit Buckles, causing the Indianapolis auto accident. The Indiana auto accident occurred just after 3pm on Friday.

Investigators of the Indianapolis car accident said the vehicle’s accelerator was stuck.
