Woman arrested on Indianapolis stock fraud charges

The Indianapolis Star reports that a woman is facing Indianapolis stock fraud charges in an alleged investment scheme.

The 66-year old woman was arrested on charges of securities fraud, unlawful sale of securities, and broker registration fraud.

State Police report that the Indiana stock fraud scheme has been in operation for nearly two years through a Web site. Investigators also report that the woman has made over $100,000 from three people in the Indianapolis stock fraud scheme.

Student injured in Indiana car accident

The Palladium-Item reports that a high school student was injured in an Indiana auto accident when his vehicle collided with a school bus.

The Indiana car accident happened at the intersection of Teetor Road and Indiana 38. The 16-year-old driver of a Chevy Malibu slid on a patch of ice and hit the front end of a school bus.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the Indiana auto accident, which prevented more serious injuries.

No one on the school bus was injured in the Indiana car accident.

Three people killed in multiple-vehicle Indianapolis auto accident

The Indianapolis Star reports that a 32-car pile-up killed three people.  The Indianapolis auto accident happened on an icy stretch of Interstate 69.

Witnesses report that the pile-up started when a vehicle slid off the road around mile marker 8. A semi and fire truck then pulled over to assist the stranded motorist. Vehicles that were unable to slow down began slamming into one another in the Indianapolis car accident.

State police report that 22 passenger vehicles, nine semis and one fire truck were involved in the Indiana auto accident.

Eleven people were initially taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries following the Indianapolis auto accident.

Man killed in Indiana car accident

The News-Dispatch reports that one man was killed in a two-vehicle Indiana car accident.

According to State Police, a 2001 Dodge pickup truck was headed northbound on US 421 when the driver lost control on an icy road. The car drove into the path of a 2000 Volkswagen Passat, hitting it head on.

The driver of the Passat died at the scene of the Indiana auto accident. The victim was wearing a seatbelt and his airbag deployed at the time of the crash.

The driver of the truck was cited for allegedly driving with a suspended license in the Indiana car accident.
