A South Bend teen was severely burned after her car struck a utility pole.

The Indiana auto accident occurred when the unlicensed girl lost control of the vehicle she was driving and ran it into a pole on the side of the road.

According to the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, live wires from the struck utility pole fell onto the car and came into contact with the driver, causing second and third degree burn injuries.

The teen remains in the burn unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital and faces possible charges of driving without a license and reckless driving in the South Bend car accident.

Indiana family files wrongful death suit

According to the Post-Tribune, the family of a Methodist Hospitals’ Alzheimer’s patient, who died in February, has filed a wrongful death claim against the hospital.

The 83-year-old Gary wrongful death victim wandered away from her room in the Indiana hospital and was later found dead; her body was found nearly one mile down the road.

Family members of the patient blame the hospital for gross negligence in the death of their relative.

A ruling has been yet to be made in the Gary wrongful death case.

Gunshot Wound Leaves Teenager with Indiana Brain Injury

The South Bend Tribune reported that a seventeen-year-old male teenager suffered an Indiana brain injury during a shooting and has been hospitalized.

Police found the Indiana brain injury victim lying alone in an alley.

Several people had been seen fleeing the crime scene after the shooting occurred in the South Bend area of Indiana and Michigan, and were able to avoid the arrival of police officials.

This shooting incident is still under investigation.

Indiana auto accident leaves bicyclist injured

The Evansville Courier & Press reported that an SUV knocked a man off his bike, sending him to the hospital Monday to be treated for his Indiana auto accident injuries.

The woman who caused the accident told police she didn’t see the bicyclist as she was turning right at a red light, causing the accident. One of the bicycle’s tires ended up underneath the SUV’s wheels and the Indiana auto accident victim was sent to the hospital for treatment.

About 100 retirement community residents evacuated to avoid Indianapolis fire and burn injuries

A fire routed about 100 residents from a retirement community Thursday evening, according to the Indianapolis Star. The Thursday evening fire left twenty-two units unlivable, but the complex had enough vacant space to accommodate all of the residents and everyone is back in the building.

No one suffered Indianapolis fire and burn injuries in the accident, but several people were treated at the scene for other ailments. The cause of the Indiana fire accident remains under investigation, but the fire began near a bathroom in a vacant area.

Three injured in Indiana auto accident

The Indianapolis Star reported that a Thursday Indiana auto accident left a man in critical condition. The 51-year-old Indiana car accident victim was involved in an accident with an IndyGo bus.

A passenger and a pregnant woman on the bus both complained of leg pain and were taken to a hospital to be treated for their Indiana auto accident injuries. The accident happened about 7:20 a.m. and police said the man may have failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled out in front of the bus.

Sentence upheld for woman who caused fatal Indiana auto accident while high on drugs

The Herald Bulletin reported that a court upheld a 20-year sentence for a woman who killed a man and injured her two-month-old son in an Indiana auto accident while she was high on drugs.

The Indiana car accident victim who perished was a former American Legion post commander, who passed away when the driver crashed head-on into his vehicle. A blood test showed five drugs present in her system, including cocaine, marijuana, and hydrocodone.

Couple escapes blaze with no Indiana fire and burn injuries

Police believe an Indiana fire that destroyed a home Tuesday morning may have been started by a wood burning stove, according to the Indianapolis Star. The residents of the home escaped the blaze without suffering Indiana fire and burn injuries.

The fire took 90 minutes for firefighters to bring under control, and authorities have yet to estimate the amount of Indiana fire damages.
