The Journal Gazette reports that a 24-year-old man is responsible for crashing his vehicle into a family home in a Fort Wayne auto accident.
The accident happened around 3:45 a.m. when the man was driving south on Addison Avenue. He did not realize the street ended at Vance Avenue, and the car traveled over a sidewalk and across a lawn before crashing into a home on Vance Avenue.
The vehicle entered the home, but no one inside the home or in the vehicle was injured in the Fort Wayne auto accident. The driver of the car had a blood alcohol content of nearly twice the legal limit and was arrested on a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated.
Do you think a misdemeanor is a sufficient punishment for driving under the influence? Should there be stiffer penalties?
