According to The Post-Tribune, a popular math teacher at Roosevelt High School was killed in a Gary truck accident.

The Gary truck accident occurred when a tractor-trailer plowed into the back of the teacher’s minivan, which was parked at a red light. The impact of the truck hitting the teacher’s vehicle pushed her minivan into the car in front of her.

Passengers in the teacher’s minivan at the time of the Gary truck accident were taken to a hospital in Fort Wayne and treated for their auto accident injuries.

A crisis intervention has been setup for students at Roosevelt High School for students to cope with the death of their teacher.
