Terre Haute auto accident shuts down highway

The Trib Star reports that a woman was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle Terre Haute auto accident.

The woman drove her vehicle off the road and ended up in a muddy creek. The Terre Haute car accident happened on Highway 46 about a half mile south of I-70.

Traffic in both directions of Highway 46 was shut down for approximately 45 minutes as rescue workers attempted to remove the woman’s vehicle from the creek.
