Do you stop when a police officer with his lights and sirens on is headed your way? The law requires that you yield to police and emergency vehicles, but a lot of people do not. That was the case in this South Bend auto accident.
The South Bend Tribune reports that a police officer was responding to reports of a South Bend auto accident involving injuries and approached an intersection with his lights and sirens activated. He even stopped at the intersection before proceeding. A Chevy Equinox SUV also entered the intersection and struck the squad car, setting off a chain reaction that struck three other vehicles in the South Bend auto accident.
The officer suffered minor injuries in the South Bend auto accident.
