An Indiana police officer who was involved in a fatal Indianapolis motorcycle accident had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system at the time of the crash.

The Indianapolis Star reports that the accident happened around 11:20 a.m. when the officer was responding to a call and had his lights and sirens on. He struck the three motorcycles in the Indianapolis motorcycle accident. One man was killed and two others seriously injured.

Initial reports showed that the motorcycles failed to yield in the Indianapolis motorcycle accident.

If an officer is involved in an Indianapolis motorcycle accident with alcohol, the first offense is a 30-day suspension and the second results in termination.
