The Republic reports that the widow of an Indiana police corporal has asked the judge for a default judgment against the other driver in this South Bend wrongful death lawsuit.

The victim was killed when his police cruiser was struck by another car. His widow is seeking a $5 million settlement. The man who caused the accident is already serving a 31-year sentence for his role in the South Bend auto accident. He was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine when the accident occurred.

Do you think this man should have to pay the settlement in addition to the jail sentence he’s serving?

If your family member has been the victim of an Indiana wrongful death, the Indiana wrongful death attorneys at Stewart & Stewart Attorneys can help you.
