The “Drive Now, TXT L8TR” campaign focuses on educating the public about the dangers distractions from cellphones can pose to motorists on the road. One way the campaign is aiming to spread this message is through a contest where students create a social media post that works to change the public’s attitudes and behaviors that are related to texting and driving.
There are a total of six categories that posts can win, including the most tweets, the most retweets, and the most favorites on Twitter, as well as most likes and most creative posts on both Vine and Instagram. Winners will each be awarded $5,000. If individuals decide to work as a team and the team wins a category, each participant will receive a $5,000 award.
