South Bend auto accident kills one

WNDU reports a driver of a moped was killed after a collision with a car.

Police report that the 32 year old driver of the moped was driving on Logan Street heading towards its intersection with Lincolnway. The South Bend auto accident took place when a Volkswagen Beetle turned onto Logan and struck the moped driver.

The road was shut down for hours as police investigated the scene. Police are still investigating the accident.

No charges have been filed.
