Two people were injured as a result of an Indianapolis Car Accident that occurred earlier this month. According to reports from JC Online, the crash occurred on June 7 at around 3:15 p.m. on US Highway 41, about 3 miles north of Veedersburg, Indiana.
Trooper Kyle Wentland, with the Indiana State Police, stated that the 53-year-old driver of an Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) pickup truck had stopped along the side of the highway to talk with mowing crews when his vehicle was suddenly struck from behind by another vehicle driven by a 28-year-old man.
The driver responsible for the Indianapolis Auto Accident suffered serious leg and ankle injuries and required helicopter transport to a local hospital. The INDOT employee was also taken to the hospital after complaining of neck and back pain.
Trooper Wentland added that signs had been placed near the scene to inform motorists of the approaching work zone and that roof and flashing lights were activated on the INDOT vehicle at the time of the accident.
