Basement fire leaves one with Fort Wayne burn injury

A single-story house fire is the cause of a man’s Indiana fire and burn injury.

Several other family members were in the home when it caught fire, but were able to escape the building without a Fort Wayne fire and burn injury. However, the one Fort Wayne fire and burn victim was taken to the nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries.

According to The Journal Gazette, it took firefighters approximately eleven minutes to extinguish the fire that occurred in a bedroom in the basement of the Indiana house.

The cause of the Fort Wayne fire is still under investigation.
