About 100 retirement community residents evacuated to avoid Indianapolis fire and burn injuries

A fire routed about 100 residents from a retirement community Thursday evening, according to the Indianapolis Star. The Thursday evening fire left twenty-two units unlivable, but the complex had enough vacant space to accommodate all of the residents and everyone is back in the building.

No one suffered Indianapolis fire and burn injuries in the accident, but several people were treated at the scene for other ailments. The cause of the Indiana fire accident remains under investigation, but the fire began near a bathroom in a vacant area.
