There are currently millions of Americans living with developmental and intellectual disabilities, with many residing here in Indiana. It’s important to have support programs available for these individuals, which is why Stewart & Stewart Attorneys and our team of Indianapolis personal injury lawyers are excited to support a non-profit organization that offers such services as our charity of the month for June.
Best Buddies Indiana was founded in 1993 on the idea of bringing a network of volunteers together to offer friendship, vocational assistance, and leadership training to the disabled living in the state. Today, the organization is responsible for having a positive impact on a countless number of disabled individuals.
The organization partners those with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a buddy who can offer social and emotional support. Participants can range in age from elementary school students to those attending college.
To help support this wonderful organization, all you have to do is simply click the button on your computer’s mouse. That’s because for every new “Like” our Facebook page receives throughout the month of June, we will donate $1 to Best Buddies Indiana.
If you want to do more to help the organization, they are always seeking volunteers to become buddies. To get involved, simply complete a volunteer form that can be found on the organization’s website under the volunteer tab.
