With Indiana reporting thousands of workers injured on the job each year, officials in the state are seriously focusing on improving workplace safety and the Indiana workers’ compensation system. An article from North West Indiana Business News reports one way officials are spreading the word was holding the 3rd Annual Beyond Safety conference at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza earlier this week.
During the conference several speakers offered messages about the need for safety innovation to trickle down from top executives. A representative from Cintas gave a speech discussing the successful efforts taken by his company to promote the reduction of workplace injuries and claims for workers’ compensation.
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is also hosting the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Conference beginning on February 28th in downtown Indianapolis. Some of the issues slated for discussion are the rise in workers’ compensation costs, how to use wellness programs to reduce expenses associated with workers’ compensation, and how to manage losses. The program will be held all week at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center.
The Indianapolis Personal Injury Lawyers with Stewart & Stewart Injury Lawyers are hopeful these events will create a healthy dialogue on how to better serve those who have been injured through no fault of their own in work-related accidents.
