Victim files lawsuit after Indianapolis motorcycle accident

The Indianapolis Star reports that one of the victims of an Indianapolis motorcycle accident has taken the first step toward filing a lawsuit.

The injured party has given notice of tort claim, contending that her injuries were a result of carelessness and negligence of a police officer acting within his scope of employment of the city of Indianapolis during the Indianapolis motorcycle accident.

The woman and two others were on their motorcycles when they were hit by an Indianapolis police officer who was intoxicated in the Indianapolis motorcycle accident.

One of the victims was killed. It is possible that his widow will file a wrongful death lawsuit against the city, or sue of negligence.
