Overview
Matthew T. Kavanagh is a personal injury attorney at Stewart and Stewart with a proven track record of success. He earned his law degree from IU McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is admitted to practice before all Indiana State courts and the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts of Indiana. In recognition of his hard work, Mr. Kavanagh has been selected as a Rising Star in personal injury law for three consecutive years. He is also an active member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, and Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.
After completing his law degree, Mr. Kavanagh began his legal career in insurance defense, representing insurance companies for three years. His experience in this area provided him with invaluable insight into the tactics and strategies employed by insurance companies to minimize payouts and deny claims. This unique perspective gives him an upper hand in representing injured Hoosiers, enabling him to anticipate the opposing side’s arguments and counter them effectively. Mr. Kavanagh’s ability to see both sides of the argument has allowed him to develop effective legal strategies that have resulted in favorable settlements and verdicts for his clients over many years.
When he’s not advocating for his clients, Mr. Kavanagh spends his time with his wife, Jonna, and their two children, Finn and Stella.
